Accounts Payable Schedule Change for Memorial Day 2015

In observance of Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, and the 14th Annual Duquesne University Day at the Pirates on Wednesday, May 27, the Accounts Payable Department cutoff for all appropriately authorized paperwork will be the close of business on Thursday, May 21. Checks will be available for pick up on Friday, May 29.

The regular processing schedule will resume the week of June 1.

The last day to submit journal entries for the current Fiscal Year 2015 is Wednesday, July 8. Journal entries can be submitted to journalentries@duq.edu.

Year-end deadlines for the Department of Printing and Graphics

Monday, June 8: All requisitions related to the development of printed materials submitted to the Department of Printing and Graphics must be at the "External Proof Signed and Ready to be Printed" stage. Simple printing projects that include graphic design work, such as business cards, letterhead or envelopes, can take two weeks or more to complete from origination to printing. More complex projects, such as viewbooks or lengthy booklets, can be in process from four to six months.

Monday, June 22: Copy Center projects must be initiated. For planning purposes or if you have questions about whether a given project would fall within these billing guidelines, consult your public affairs marketing communications manager.

National Bike Challenge

Duquesne University bike riders are encouraged to sign up for the National Bike Challenge and select Duquesne University as your school. The National Bike Challenge is an annual event designed to encourage people to ride their bikes more. Sign up and record the miles you ride between May 1 and Sept. 30!! FY16 Endowment Distributions

Attention Endowed Fund Managers!

FY16 endowment distributions are now available via Self Service Banner. The training manual is available on the Planning and Budget intranet site and will guide you through the step-by-step process to access distributions and make any necessary adjustments. Please take your time and read all sections of the manual. Endowed Fund security clearance is required to view the endowment distributions; therefore, if you can view the endowed Fund and Organization Codes in Self Service Banner now, you will have access to Budget Development. All distributions must be reviewed and spending plans developed by May 29, 2015. Please contact Bonnie Watson at x5696 for training opportunities.
